Our Warranty

MAGNUM RETURN POLICY

MAGNUM may issue a return authorization along with corresponding RMA# which will be sent via e-mail and must be attached and MUST be visible on the parcel upon its return. All return requests must include order number, ship to address & photos of any manufacture defects. All other RMA requests will be refused. All return requests must be made within 15 days of the original delivery of the product. Return requests that occur after 15 days of receipt will not be accepted. Return and or product exchange shipping cost for incorrect orders, including the wrong part or incorrect installation, is the customer’s responsibility and will not be included in the refund amount. Returned items must be received in their original packaging. If replacement packaging is needed, replacement packaging cost & freight will be the customers responsibility. Please allow up to 15 days from the receipt of any returns for credit to be issued. Any defect not due to manufacturing defect will be subject to a 25% re-stock fee.

MAGNUM LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

MAGNUM – A Shyft Group Brand (hereinafter MAGNUM) warrants to the original owner that their aluminum Truck Rack will be free from defects in craftsmanship and material for a period of their lifetime. The warranty period begins the day of purchase by the original end user. Warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase receipt.

If any of our Truck Racks prove to be defective in craftsmanship and/or materials, under normal use, and the item is returned to MAGNUM in Waterville, ME, and MAGNUM in its sole discretion finds that the item was defective, the item will be repaired to a functional state or replaced, at MAGNUM’s discretion. Any items replaced during the warranty process will become the property of MAGNUM. All transportation costs associated with the claim will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser, and will in no way be a part of the manufacturer’s warranty. MAGNUM reserves the right to have the item repaired in the field by a MAGNUM approved repair facility. Non-factory repairs are not included under this warranty unless they are approved by MAGNUM, in writing, prior to repair.

Exclusions:

This warranty does not cover: (a) normal wear and tear (b) a Truck Rack that has been altered, modified or neglected (c) a Rack that has had a transfer of ownership from the original purchaser (d) a Rack involved in an accident of any kind (e) a Rack exposed to severe off road use where the Rack experienced excessive twisting (f) any damage from exposure to chemicals (g) damage from improper installation (h) damage caused by an Act of God (defined as an extraordinary interruption by a natural cause (such as a flood, earthquake, wildfire) of the usual course of events that experience, prescience, or care cannot reasonably foresee or prevent (i) damage from salt, sand, road debris and weathering.

One Year Limitations:

The following items are excluded from the Limited Lifetime Warranty and are covered for a period of One Year, subject to the Exclusions herein: (a) Lights and wiring (b) Installation components and (c) associated hardware and accessories.

Three Year Limitation:

Powder coated paint finishes are excluded from the Limited Lifetime Warranty and are covered for a period of Three Years, subject to the Exclusions herein.

How to place a claim:

If you experience issues that you believe are subject to the warranty, take the following steps:

For Purchases made on the MAGNUM website:

  • Email a photo of the problem to [email protected]
  • Follow up with a phone call (207-660-4700) to MAGNUM’s warranty department.
  • MAGNUM will determine if it’s a warrantable issue.
  • If warrantable, MAGNUM will issue a UPS call tag for pick up.
  • MAGNUM will ship a new rack on receipt of the defective rack.

For Purchases made through authorized Magnum Dealer:

  • Visit your dealer for a product inspection.
  • Dealer will email photos of problem to [email protected]
  • Follow up with a phone call (207-660-4700) to MAGNUM’s warranty department.
  • MAGNUM will determine if it’s a warrantable issue.
  • If warrantable, MAGNUM will issue a RGA to the source distributor.
  • Dealer will exchange the rack with a new rack for the retail customer.
  • Dealer will return the rack to source distributor for pickup by MAGNUM on MAGNUM’s next shipment to distributor.

 

Other:

MAGNUM does not authorize anyone to issue any further, oral or written, warranty other than the express warranty defined herein. Any implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for purpose is limited to the warranty period of five (5) years. Some states do not allow limitations on the term of implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so some limitations may not apply to you.
