K&N Filters has partnered with Toyota to run a sweepstakes titled “The K&N Horsepower Challenge”. Entrants are eligible to win a brand new performance built Toyota Tacoma Baja Challenge Edition truck ($38,970 ARV). The truck will be specially equipped with custom decals, wheels, tires, supercharger and a Toyota Racing Development exhaust. The winner will be presented with his truck at the K&N Horsepower Challenge at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 29th-30th.
K&N’s truck sweepstakes is open until 12:00 p.m. ET on March 10, 2014. Each entrant has an equal chance of winning and eight finalists will be randomly drawn to attend the race weekend in Las Vegas. These finalists will be awarded with an air travel voucher of up to $1,250 (coach class only) for two to Las Vegas for the race weekend. This free trip is quite the prize in and of itself. Finalists also receive free ground transportation from the Las Vegas airport to their hotel. The hotel is also free for a maximum of 4 days and three nights.
Each of the finalists will be paired to a NHRA Pro Stock Driver’s race team that qualified for the 2014 K&N Horsepower Challenge. The finalist paired to the event’s winning race team will be the winner of the Toyota Tacoma Baja Challenge Edition truck. Each finalist must attend a special publicity event that occurs before the actual K&N Horsepower Challenge Race. This event will take place on March 28, 2014 while the race occurs the next day, March 29th.
This is the third year that K&N has teamed with Toyota to run the truck contest. The Horespower Challenge is the NHRA’s longest running specialty event. A fan selected driver competes with the seven Pro Stock drivers who have scored the most qualifying points over the past year. The race goes for three rounds and the winning driver takes home $50,000.
In order to be eligible for the contest, an entrant must be a legal citizen or a permanent legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. He must be 18 or older and have a valid social security number and a driver’s license. Residents of New York and Florida are not eligible.
K&N Engineering is based in Riverside, California. The company is the world’s top producer of washable performance air filters, oil filters and air intake systems.
